Patient Access Associate PRN

About This Role

This Patient Access Associate position is responsible for supporting the Patient Access Department, ensuring patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data. This role also involves calculating patient financial responsibility, presenting financial options, and processing patient payments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare
• Ensure patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data
• Calculate patient financial responsibility
• Present patient financial options/requirements and process patient payments
• Secure patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• One (1) year experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle, Clinical role, or related clerical accounting/finance/retail

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• One (1) year experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle, Clinical role, or related clerical accounting/finance/retail.

Nice to Have

• Three (3) years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience
• Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association, or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative
• Prior Epic Experience
