About This Role

This role is responsible for entering patients into the system, determining urgency for medical triage, and ensuring accurate demographic and financial data for proper reimbursement in the Emergency Department. This position requires close collaboration with clinical staff to ensure quality patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Enter patients into the system and determine urgency for medical triage
  • Validate and verify medical record selection accuracy
  • Work closely with clinical staff to ensure quality patient care and patient safety
  • Complete emergency room, outpatient, and inpatient registrations, obtaining accurate demographic and financial data
  • Ensure proper reimbursement and obtain appropriate compliant signatures for documentation
  • Make decisions for correct account management
  • Support policies and procedures pertaining to financial assistance for the uninsured, completing Attestations with patients
  • Identify and collect time of service dollars

Requirements

  • High School degree or GED equivalent
  • Exemplary Customer Service and English communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Decision making skills

Qualifications

  • High School degree or GED equivalent

Nice to Have

  • Basic familiarity with personal computers and keyboards
  • Basic skill in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge of medical insurance
  • Registration experience
