PAS Financial Counselor, PRN

About This Role

Educate patients about their financial liabilities by assisting with Medicaid and charity care applications and developing payment arrangements. This role is facility-based at Piedmont and reports to the PAS Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Medicaid and charity care application procedures
• Educate patients about their financial liabilities
• Develop patient payment arrangements for liabilities

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED
• 3+ years of previous related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED
• 3+ years of related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience, preferably with a focus in Financial Counseling

Nice to Have

• Four (4) years of previous related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university
• Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative
• Understanding of Medical Terminology
• Call center experience
• Previous Epic experience
