Parts Specialist

About This Role

Provide outstanding customer service to retail and installer customers, assisting them with merchandise selection, part lookups, and resolving complaints. Support store management with daily operational tasks and company programs.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in their selection of merchandise
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone, accurately looking up parts and quoting prices
• Accurately maintaining and securing the cash drawer, accepting cash and/or checks, making change, and processing credit card transactions
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
• Assist with the completion of daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning
• Perform various daily operational tasks like preparing merchandise returns and assisting with inventory counts
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
• Perform various in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, test batteries)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
