Parts Specialist

About This Role

The Parts Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts will deliver exceptional customer service to both retail and installer clients while supporting store management with various assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs
• Promptly greet and assist retail/walk-in customers with merchandise selection
• Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position
• Provide excellent service to phone customers by accurately looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending items
• Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions, and make change
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
• Assist with daily operational tasks including freight receival, stocking shelves, and cleaning
• Perform various in-store services for customers like installing wipers and testing batteries

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time
• Driving record must meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements (if driving)

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
