Parts Specialist

About This Role

This Parts Specialist role focuses on providing excellent customer service to retail and installer customers, supporting store management, and performing various operational tasks within the O'Reilly Auto Parts store.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level service to all retail and installer customers
• Support store management in accomplishing assigned tasks
• Promote and follow all company customer service programs
• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection
• Assist managers and installer service specialists with professional customers
• Complete assigned company training relevant to the position
• Provide excellent phone service, accurately looking up parts and quoting prices
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions, and make change accurately
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, and stocking shelves
• Perform various daily operational tasks like preparing merchandise returns and assisting with inventory counts
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
• Perform various in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan trouble codes)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle for deliveries

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Ability to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
