Parts Specialist

About This Role

Provide outstanding service to retail and installer customers, assist with store operations, and support management with various tasks. This role is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and store efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in merchandise selection
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone, accurately looking up parts and quoting prices
• Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, process cash, checks, and credit card transactions
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival and stocking shelves
• Perform various daily operational tasks, including processing merchandise returns and assisting with inventory
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
• Perform various in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, replace headlight capsules)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Ability to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Qualifications

• Entry level position, no specific years of experience mentioned.

Nice to Have

• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
