Parts Specialist

About This Role

Provide outstanding customer service to retail and installer customers, assist with merchandise selection, and support store management in daily tasks and operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of service to retail and installer customers
• Support store management in assigned tasks
• Promote all company customer service programs
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers
• Complete assigned company training
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering calls, looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending items
• Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept payments, make change, and process credit card transactions
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival, stocking, and cleaning
• Perform various daily operational tasks, including preparing merchandise returns and assisting with inventory
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
• Perform various in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan trouble codes)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Nice to Have

• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
• ASE certification
