Parts Specialist

About This Role

The Parts Specialist provides exceptional customer service to retail and installer customers, supports store management in daily tasks, and assists with various operational duties.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote company customer service programs
• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists with professional customers
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone
• Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions
• Process exchanges and returns for credit
• Address and resolve customer complaints
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking, cleaning
• Perform various daily operational tasks, including merchandise returns and inventory counts
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
• Perform various in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, test batteries)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Nice to Have

• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
• ASE certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
