Parts Specialist

About This Role

Provide outstanding customer service to retail and installer customers, assisting them with merchandise selection and ensuring an accurate and efficient transaction process. This role supports store management in daily tasks, including maintaining inventory and conducting various in-store services.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs
• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in merchandise selection
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions, and make accurate change
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner
• Address and resolve customer complaints
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival and stocking shelves
• Perform various daily operational tasks, including preparing merchandise returns and inventory counts
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
• Perform various in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, test batteries)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Ability to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and automotive sales or service
