Parts Specialist

About This Role

The Parts Specialist provides high-level service to retail and installer customers, supports store management with assigned tasks, and promotes company customer service programs. This role involves assisting customers in merchandise selection and providing phone support.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs.
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in merchandise selection.
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by accurately looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending items.
• Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, process cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival, stocking, and cleaning.
• Perform various daily operational tasks like preparing merchandise returns and assisting with inventory counts.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Perform various in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan trouble codes).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate.

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
