Parts Specialist

About This Role

Provide outstanding customer service to retail and installer customers, supporting store management by assisting with sales, maintaining cash handling, and performing various operational and in-store services.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs, including Hi-5 and Low Price Guarantee
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in merchandise selection
• Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers
• Complete assigned company training relevant to the position
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by accurately looking up parts and quoting prices
• Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, process cash, checks, and credit card transactions
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival and stocking shelves
• Perform various daily operational tasks, such as preparing merchandise returns and assisting with inventory
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and meeting company requirements
• Perform various in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan trouble codes)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Ability to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
