Parts Specialist

About This Role

Provide excellent customer service to retail and installer customers, assist with store operations, and support management tasks at O'Reilly Auto Parts.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service to retail and walk-in customers, assisting in merchandise selection
• Answer phone calls according to company policy, accurately look up parts, quote prices, and recommend premium and related items
• Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, process cash, checks, and credit card transactions
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner per company policies
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival, stocking, fronting, facing, and cleaning
• Perform various daily operational tasks such as preparing merchandise returns and assisting with stock adjustments and inventory counts
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
• Perform various in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan trouble codes)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle for deliveries, meeting company driving eligibility requirements

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service
• Ability to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and weatherly index system
• Automotive sales or service experience
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
