Parts Specialist

About This Role

Provide outstanding customer service to retail and installer customers, assist with daily operational tasks, and support store management.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in merchandise selection
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone
• Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash and/or checks, make change, and process credit card transactions
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
• Assist with the completion of daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, and cleaning
• Perform various daily operational tasks, including preparing new, core, and warranty merchandise returns, and assisting with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
• Perform various in-store services for customers (where allowed)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Ability to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Nice to Have

• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
