Parts Specialist

About This Role

This role provides high-quality customer service to both retail and installer customers, assisting them with merchandise selection and part inquiries. Additionally, the Parts Specialist supports store management with day-to-day operations and assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection
• Support managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers
• Complete company training relevant to the position
• Provide excellent service to phone customers including accurate part lookups, price quotes, and product recommendations
• Accurately maintain cash drawer, process cash, check, and credit card transactions
• Process exchanges and returns in accordance with company policies
• Address and resolve customer complaints
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking, and cleaning
• Perform daily operational tasks such as preparing returns and assisting with inventory counts
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
• Perform in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan trouble codes)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle for deliveries

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Ability to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Qualifications

• Entry level position

Nice to Have

• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
• ASE certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
