Parts Specialist

About This Role

This role involves providing exceptional customer service to retail and installer customers, supporting store management, and assisting with various operational tasks in an O'Reilly Auto Parts store.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of service to retail and installer customers
• Support store management in accomplishing assigned tasks
• Promote company customer service programs
• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection
• Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by accurately looking up parts and quoting prices
• Maintain and secure cash drawer, process cash, check, and credit card transactions
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies
• Address and resolve customer complaints
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting, and cleaning
• Perform various daily operational tasks, including preparing merchandise returns and assisting with inventory
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
• Perform various in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan trouble codes)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle for deliveries

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills
• Ability to multitask, handling phone and in-store customers simultaneously

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and Weatherly index system
• Automotive sales or service experience
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish
