This temporary Parts Quality Analyst role supports the administration and oversight of part quality inspections within the company's distribution network. It involves evaluating inventory, coordinating inspections, managing claims with suppliers, and ensuring proper documentation.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal teams (Parts Helpdesk, Supply, Brand, Warranty, Compliance) to coordinate inspection processes for current and incoming inventory at Parts Distribution Centers (PDCs)
- Lead rework and relabeling efforts with cross-functional partners and the Quality Packaging Engineer
- Monitor, track, and report on active and completed inspections, including performance metrics and historical data
- Submit, evaluate, and manage supplier claims related to damaged or defective parts, including contesting outcomes
- Execute special assignments or reporting requests as directed by management
- Maintain and update inspection flags (E-Freeze) in systems such as AMOS and Smartsheet
- Ensure timely processing of official quality announcements by communicating with appropriate contacts and completing required steps within company systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in automotive parts or a closely related field
- Familiarity with parts catalogs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Outlook, Word)
- Familiarity with Smartsheet dashboards
- Ability to communicate technical details through photos
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including database usage and spreadsheet management
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply critical thinking
- Capable of creating process maps and troubleshooting system-related challenges
- Strong organizational skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally related to automotive, engineering, or a similar field. Equivalent experience demonstrating deep knowledge of automotive parts will also be considered.
