Machine Part Inspector

About This Role

Ensure mechanical components, assemblies, and finished products meet quality standards and engineering specifications. This role is crucial for maintaining quality in a machine shop and manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, physical, and functional inspections per engineered drawings
• Verify material certifications, heat treat records and plating/coating compliance
• Use observation, measurement and testing to identify faults in materials/manufacturing
• Perform Machine Shop inspection of First Piece and work in process items
• Use statistical and analytical methods to test product samples to evaluate
• Maintain records and forms detailing quality levels, inspection data
• Assist with calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment
• Maintain quality records as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of Quality Inspection
• Experience in Machine Shop and manufacturing environments

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Experience in Machine Shop and manufacturing environments is required. Preferred background in precision machining, inspection.

Nice to Have

• College or Technical school courses in Manufacturing, Blueprint Reading or Quality Systems
• Background in precision machining
• Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance
