Provide an exceptional shoe store experience for every customer, ensuring daily store tasks are completed efficiently while championing the company's culture and driving sales.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily store tasks like pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory are completed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store environment according to company standards
• Champion the Famous culture by embodying behaviors that power Customer Connection
• Provide stellar customer engagement, delivering top-notch experiences and styles that customers crave
• Take accountability for individual effort and its impact on Famous Footwear’s overall performance
• Review store performance and drive sales with purpose and urgency to achieve goals
• Deliver clear, concise, and timely communications to the team and employ active listening
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, acting with integrity
• Seek and be open to feedback to improve skillset and professional development
• Embrace diversity and inclusivity, upholding an environment where every associate feels included and respected
• Maintain a positive and proactive mindset, uplifting and supporting others
• Assist with training and development of teammates when needed
• Act as a shoe sleuth to find perfect styles for customers and make recommendations

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within store
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion partnering with Store Sales Manager as needed
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights, weekends and extended hours
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
