About This Role

This role involves operating and maintaining palletizer machinery to ensure optimal quality, productivity, and safety in the beverage can packaging process. You will be responsible for precise operations, quality checks, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow verbal instructions to completion of assigned tasks
  • Maintain palletizer operation in the beverage can package process, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and spoilage
  • Operate one or more automated machines or equipment for aluminum beverage can production
  • Safely operate, identify basic mechanical problems with, and maintain process equipment
  • Communicate pertinent information between management, co-workers, and shifts regarding equipment changes and production problems
  • Assist and train new palletizer operators as needed
  • Follow JHA’s, SOP’s, Rules, 6S Housekeeping, maintain equipment, and modify existing production standards to achieve optimal efficiencies
  • Enter information into a computer to generate labels for pallets
  • Perform accurate and continuous quality checks and record keeping
  • Complete necessary documentation such as monthly SAFE cards, accident/near miss/hazard reporting, and data process control input

Requirements

  • High School Education/GED
  • 2-3 years experience in inspecting/packaging and high speed manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work various shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime

Qualifications

  • High School Education/GED
  • 2-3 years experience in inspecting/packaging and high speed manufacturing environment

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of all OSHA related training in a manufacturing environment
  • Beverage Packaging industry experience
  • Knowledge of AS400
  • 6S Training
