Prepare surfaces and apply paint to equipment, machinery, and buildings for industrial companies, utilizing various methods and tools.

Read work orders and receive instructions verbally
Prepare surfaces by removing dirt, oil, grease, old paint, smoothing cracks, coating, and filling holes
Work confidently at heights
Fill cavities and dents with putty for a smooth surface
Select and mix coating liquids to produce desired colors according to specifications
Erect scaffolding or set up ladders for tasks above ground level
Apply paint to surfaces using a spray gun, brush, and/or rollers

Ability to prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting
Ability to paint equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas
Proficiency with spray gun, brush, and rollers
4 years of Journeyman level experience
NCCER certification
Valid Driver’s License

NCCER (Required)
