Painter/Blaster

About This Role

Prepare surfaces and apply paint to equipment, machinery, and buildings for industrial companies, utilizing various methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and receive instructions verbally
• Prepare surfaces by removing dirt, oil, grease, old paint, smoothing cracks, coating, and filling holes
• Work confidently at heights
• Fill cavities and dents with putty for a smooth surface
• Select and mix coating liquids to produce desired colors according to specifications
• Erect scaffolding or set up ladders for tasks above ground level
• Apply paint to surfaces using a spray gun, brush, and/or rollers

Requirements

• Ability to prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting
• Ability to paint equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas
• Proficiency with spray gun, brush, and rollers
• 4 years of Journeyman level experience
• NCCER certification
• Valid Driver’s License

Qualifications

• 4 years of Journeyman level experience

Certifications
