About This Role

The Paint Sales Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth retail operations by managing merchandise movement and maintaining inventory levels. This position focuses on providing excellent customer service, checking shipments, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth retail operations through movement of store merchandise from point-of-order to point-of-customer receipt
• Provide direct and indirect service to customers
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels on the floor and in the stockroom
• Check in shipments and store orders for accuracy, completeness, and quality condition
• Check incoming or outgoing shipments
• Keep accurate records and files
• Prepare the store for opening and closing
• Keep items in good condition
• Guide other workers
• Deliver merchandise to customer homes and job sites

Requirements

• Flexible and adaptable to changes
• Ability to quickly count and use simple addition
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting 100 lbs. and being on feet all day
• Ability to use current technology and aptitude for learning new programs
• Clean driving record
• Understanding of products and product codes
• Understanding and compliance of safety regulations
