Outpatient Physical Therapist I

About This Role

This role is for a motivated and collaborative Physical Therapist to restore function, improve mobility, and relieve pain for patients. The Physical Therapist will work in an outpatient setting, contributing to a team that values collaborative care and evidence-based treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients
• Restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health for patients
• Examine patients’ medical histories and perform tests to measure strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function
• Apply diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, interpret results, and implement treatments
• Advise, consult, and teach appropriate treatment procedures to clients, family members, and others
• Develop treatment plans describing strategy, purpose, and anticipated outcomes
• Complete and maintain necessary paperwork and case documentation to ensure accountability
• Adhere to safe work practices and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current New York State registration to practice in New York
• Current BLS certification

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• One (1) year clinical experience preferred in Outpatient Physical Therapy setting, but not required. New graduates welcome.

Nice to Have

• Master's or doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
• One (1) year clinical experience in Outpatient Physical Therapy setting
• Specialty or Board Certifications in varied Physical Therapy areas
• Skill or interest in Neurology and Vestibular Rehabilitation
• Experience in Pelvic Rehabilitation and Lymphedema
