Outpatient Chemotherapy/Infusion RN

About This Role

The Outpatient Chemotherapy/Infusion RN applies nursing processes and theories to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, evaluate, and modify patient care using evidence-based practices, striving for quality outcomes and innovative practice within professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process and theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical sciences, in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care utilizing evidence based practices
• Practice autonomously within professional nursing standards, the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights
• Strive for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the Florida Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies
• Ensure practice is in accordance with competency required for that area
• Participate in quality assurance or performance improvement initiatives
• Provide care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes
• Take a leadership role coordinating the interdisciplinary team working in collaboration with other health team members to enhance patient outcomes
• Act as educator to peers, patients, and their families
• Identify and communicate needed unit resources or equipment to be included in budget

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
• American Heart Association BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
• Chemotherapy/Bio-Therapy Certification within 90 days of hire
• At least one (1) Year of Experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, BSN preferred
• At least one (1) Year of Experience
