Outage Support Specialist

About This Role

This role is responsible for supporting the FPL/NEE Access Authorization / FFD department during scheduled and unscheduled outages. The Outage Support Specialist handles various in-processing duties, ensuring all documentation complies with regulatory and internal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer alcohol breathalyzer testing and urine collections
• Perform fingerprinting using an automated system and/or fingerprint cards
• Proctor psychological exams
• Review Personal History Questionnaires for potentially disqualifying information
• Validate government issued identification
• Perform data entry of acquired information
• Communicate with personnel during processing activities
• Perform other in-processing activities as requested by site access / FFD personnel

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Work experience with data entry, filing, and record-keeping
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
• Ability to compile, sort, and interpret data
• Ability to research, investigate, compile information
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• Ability to write informatively, clearly, and accurately

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Work experience that includes data entry, filing, and record-keeping

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Nuclear Regulatory requirements
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulations, site policies, and procedures
• Previous military or law enforcement experience
• Prior work experience in recruiting, onboarding, or human resources
