This role is responsible for supporting the FPL/NEE Access Authorization / FFD department during scheduled and unscheduled outages. The Outage Support Specialist handles various in-processing duties, ensuring all documentation complies with regulatory and internal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Administer alcohol breathalyzer testing and urine collections
- Perform fingerprinting using an automated system and/or fingerprint cards
- Proctor psychological exams
- Review Personal History Questionnaires for potentially disqualifying information
- Validate government issued identification
- Perform data entry of acquired information
- Communicate with personnel during processing activities
- Perform other in-processing activities as requested by site access / FFD personnel
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Work experience with data entry, filing, and record-keeping
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
- Ability to compile, sort, and interpret data
- Ability to research, investigate, compile information
- Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Ability to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Work experience that includes data entry, filing, and record-keeping
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Nuclear Regulatory requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulations, site policies, and procedures
- Previous military or law enforcement experience
- Prior work experience in recruiting, onboarding, or human resources
