Operations Supervisor, Warehouse

About This Role

The Operations Supervisor manages workflow, assigns tasks, supports staff, and monitors results for a warehouse team, ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role also involves improving processes, setting targets, and acting as a link between employees and upper management.

Responsibilities

• Manage team's workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management
• Ensure safety and efficiency by improving processes and setting team targets
• Act as a link between employees and upper management
• Coach and resolve issues for team members
• Promote a safe environment for customer's product, associates, and temporary workers
• Follow established operational procedures for incoming/outgoing shipments, material handling, and inventory
• Provide 100% customer satisfaction
• Build a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with associates
• Help maintain attendance and tardiness records
• Monitor daily compliance with safety procedures
• Investigate accidents and prepare reports
• Provide on-the-job coaching and training to maintain associate skills
• Help coordinate vacations, payroll, and timesheets for associates and temporary workers
• Oversee warehouse associates
• Maintain proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for food grade warehouse

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with some college level study
• 2+ years experience in a supervisor warehousing role
• Strong oral and written communication skills
