About This Role

Lead and manage the lifecycle of challenging cross-functional projects to develop and deliver next-generation sortation and distribution solutions for Amazon's supply chain. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement network infrastructure, ensuring timely handover and successful project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently with internal and external teams to successfully manage the lifecycle of challenging projects, delivering on project objectives and targets
  • Actively participate in firm engineering reviews, impacting proposed solutions on individual systems, overall architecture, and facility processes
  • Partner with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to set project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules to meet deadlines
  • Lead and coordinate all execution efforts in delivering systems and automated equipment designs, performing installation, throughput, and safety qualifications
  • Lead effective meetings, documenting discussions, decisions, and future steps for alignment
  • Promptly and accurately communicate project status, risk analysis, and mitigation plans to leadership
  • Competently articulate system and/or equipment designs, including layouts, technical specifications, and functional capabilities
  • Efficiently manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoice validation/approvals
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives that improve Engineering and cross-teams' efficiencies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering
  • 4+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
  • Experience working with Material handling equipment (MHE)
  • Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering
  • 4+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in engineering, management, or technology
  • Experience working with and managing third party vendors
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project) at an advanced level
