About This Role

This On-Demand Guest Advocate role at Target focuses on providing exceptional guest service, managing checklanes, and supporting various in-store and digital services across different departments like General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, and Style. The role allows for a flexible work schedule by picking up available shifts.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture prioritizing guest experience by adhering to service standards
• Greet guests and create a welcoming experience while completing daily tasks
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and issues
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store
• Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy
• Inform guests about current brand launches, store activities, and events
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up
• Familiarize guests with fulfillment services and direct them on how to enroll and use them
• Instruct guests on using Wallet and other features within the Target App
• Process returns according to Target's policies and procedures
• De-escalate situations and recover guest shopping experiences when needed
• Deliver accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area, including gathering abandoned items
• Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available for guests
• Support guest services like order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) orders, and DU returns
• Handle cash register operations, cash transactions, and support cash office processes as needed

• Ability to accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely (frequently lifting up to 10 lbs, occasionally up to 44 lbs)
• Flexibility when picking up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
• Active engagement by picking up and working shifts (minimum one shift every 5 months)
