This role involves conducting evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients, and educating them and their caregivers on techniques to improve mobility and prevent injuries. The Occupational Therapist will work within Independent and Assisted Living communities, collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial evaluations to assess patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and caregivers on proper techniques to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent injuries
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive care
- Provide home health and/or outpatient services as needed, including supervisory visits, to ensure optimal outcomes
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Florida state OT license
- Current CPR/AED certification
Qualifications
