Occupational Therapist

About This Role

This Occupational Therapist role involves providing personalized, resident-centered care, focusing on helping patients regain independence in daily activities and improve their overall quality of life. You'll work within a comprehensive in-house therapy program alongside an interdisciplinary team, designing meaningful treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Optimize patient functionality by providing, directing, and/or overseeing occupational therapy services, including screening, evaluation, and treatment
• Comply with state and federal guidelines related to accurate and timely documentation and billing
• Establish and maintain effective, patient-centered interactions with patients, interdisciplinary team members, and facility staff
• Refer patients for treatment to occupational therapy assistants and provide consultation and clinical supervision
• Directly supervise occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians
• Participate in utilization review, care conferences, case management, and interdisciplinary team activities
• Develop and enhance occupational therapy programs, techniques, and services to support quality outcomes
• Ensure compliance with environmental safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and patient rights policies
• Enhance clinical expertise through continuing education and professional development
• Maintain valid state licensure
• Understand and apply relevant payment models and treatment guidelines
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational, facility, and patient information
• Conduct oneself in an ethical, legal, and professional manner at all times

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
• Valid state Occupational Therapist license
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation
