About This Role

This role involves providing direct and indirect patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes, and utilizing critical thinking and nursing processes to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients appropriately and accurately based on their medical condition
  • Administer ordered medications as prescribed
  • Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient, including basic self-care activities
  • Formulate teaching plans based upon identified learning needs and evaluate effectiveness of learning, including family as appropriate
  • Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and provide services
  • Communicate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in providing patient care
  • Assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills
  • Identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and family, communicating with social services regarding hospital and post-discharge needs
  • Demonstrate cost-effective practices and non-wasteful usage of supplies, linen, and charge items
  • Prioritize patient care effectively and efficiently
  • Promote patient safety by reducing the risk of unnecessary harm associated with health care
  • Assume lifelong learning related to the nursing profession

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Computer literacy
  • RN license
  • BLS certification within 14 days of hire

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Nice to Have

  • ACLS/PALS Specialty Certification
