Provide comprehensive, high-quality, and affordable primary and family care as a Nurse Practitioner at a MinuteClinic location. You will deliver holistic patient care to the community with strong organizational backing, flexible scheduling, and a focus on work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Provide Primary and Family evidenced-based care including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients.
- Handle administrative duties such as opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payment, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Manage patient appointments and perform routine examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes.
- Speak with patients about healthy lifestyle choices and complete diagnostic tests for injuries or illnesses.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care.
- Encourage patient participation in their own healthcare through services like health screenings, behavioral health, wellness, and chronic condition management.
- Provide holistic, evidenced-based care including education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and safer sex practices.
- Order and administer immunizations and injections (COVID19, influenza, TB, Depo) and provide evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education.
Requirements
- Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program
- Current National Board Certification
- State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role
- Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent
- Ability to complete DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to pass a FIT test and wear a provided respirator mask when protocol requires
Qualifications
- Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.
- Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent
Nice to Have
- Prior student precepting rotation with MinuteClinic (if less than 1 year of work experience as a licensed provider)
- Epic experience
- Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish)
