Nurse Practitioner

About This Role

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) delivers affordable, accessible, comprehensive high-quality primary and family evidenced-based care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health counseling. This role involves providing holistic patient care to the community while supporting various clinics as a float provider.

Responsibilities

• Provide Primary and Family evidenced-based care including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients.
• Administer immunizations and injections, providing evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education.
• Handle patient appointments and perform routine examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes.
• Speak with patients about healthy lifestyle choices and encourage them to become active participants in their own healthcare.
• Complete patient charting and follow-up during the clinic shift.
• Perform administrative duties such as opening/closing the clinic, inventory, verifying insurance, collecting payment, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Participate in on-call and holiday rotations and work every other weekend.

Requirements

• Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current National Board Certification and State license
• Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent
• Ability to complete the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to pass a FIT test and wear a respirator mask when protocol requires
• Proficiency in speaking and writing in additional languages (depending on market)

Qualifications

• Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program or Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
• Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience as a licensed provider, or equivalent.

Nice to Have

• Prior student precepting rotation with MinuteClinic (if less than 1 year of work experience as a licensed provider)
