The Nurse Practitioner (NP) delivers affordable, accessible, comprehensive high-quality primary and family evidenced-based care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health counseling. This role involves providing holistic patient care to the community while supporting various clinics as a float provider.
Responsibilities
- Provide Primary and Family evidenced-based care including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients.
- Administer immunizations and injections, providing evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education.
- Handle patient appointments and perform routine examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes.
- Speak with patients about healthy lifestyle choices and encourage them to become active participants in their own healthcare.
- Complete patient charting and follow-up during the clinic shift.
- Perform administrative duties such as opening/closing the clinic, inventory, verifying insurance, collecting payment, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Participate in on-call and holiday rotations and work every other weekend.
Requirements
- Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current National Board Certification and State license
- Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent
- Ability to complete the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to pass a FIT test and wear a respirator mask when protocol requires
- Proficiency in speaking and writing in additional languages (depending on market)
Qualifications
- Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program or Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
- Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience as a licensed provider, or equivalent.
Nice to Have
- Prior student precepting rotation with MinuteClinic (if less than 1 year of work experience as a licensed provider)
