Assist nursing staff in patient care under the direction of an RN, ensuring patient well-being while adhering to BayCare's role-specific responsibilities. This role may involve assisting with mobility, transport, or visual monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Assist the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care according to BayCare role specific responsibilities
- Assist with patient care without purposefully encountering any body fluids or devices that contain body fluids
- Perform at least one of the following roles: Mobility Assistant, Transport Assistant, or Visual Monitor Technician
Requirements
- Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Standard WELLE® training
- Completion of Nurse Helper training class prior to orientation on the nursing unit
