Network Engineer

About This Role

Provide hands-on support for the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of wired and wireless LANs, supporting enterprise networks across various environments. This role involves significant field work, troubleshooting, and customer interaction, requiring eligibility for a DoD Secret or Public Trust clearance and extensive travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform network installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for wired and wireless LANs
• Conduct site surveys to determine device placement, cabling, and materials
• Maintain enterprise network performance, security, and availability
• Support network management/orchestration tools and IP address assignments
• Provide technical support to end-users and maintain detailed documentation
• Support deployment, operation, and maintenance of CCTV and VTC systems
• Perform hands-on network “touch labor” in field environments as needed
• Participate in 24/7 operational support, including shifts and weekends

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret or Public Trust clearance
• 6+ years of relevant networking experience
• Experience with wired and wireless LAN installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Strong enterprise networking and operational support experience
• Able to work 24/7 operations, including weekends and shift work
• Willingness to travel 60–80%
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to drive to job sites
• Able to climb a 10-foot ladder
• Lift 40 lbs
• Strong documentation skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant networking experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with Aruba networking equipment
• Network certifications: CCNA, CWNP, or similar
• BICSI certification
• Experience with network orchestration, automation tools, and IP address management
• Experience with CCTV and VTC systems
• Formal network site survey and enterprise design experience
