Network Engineer

About This Role

This role is for a skilled Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto technologies. The engineer will ensure reliable connectivity, optimal performance, and secure communication across all systems within a hybrid office setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN, wireless, and SD-WAN networks.
• Implement and manage Meraki Wi-Fi and switching solutions.
• Configure and maintain Cisco ISE for network access control and policy enforcement.
• Monitor network performance, health, and capacity trends to ensure optimal operation.
• Implement and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols.
• Manage network hardware (routers, switches, access points) and software tools.
• Administer Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama for centralized management.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades, patches, and ongoing maintenance.
• Provide technical consulting to internal teams and stakeholders on network design and optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, cloud, application, and operations) to align network solutions with business goals.
• Document network configurations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Expertise in Meraki Wi-Fi and switching deployments
• Proficiency with Cisco ISE for authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA)
• Expertise in Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama centralized management
• Solid experience in wireless networking (Wi-Fi design, deployment, troubleshooting)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in network engineering

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, Meraki, or similar)
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Ability to script or automate tasks (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• Solid grasp of virtualization and virtual networking
