Network Engineer

About This Role

Provide day-to-day operational and technical support for network services, including maintaining network diagrams and inventory, and monitoring network performance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day operational and technical support for network services
• Maintain updated schematic diagrams for infrastructure and low-level architecture design diagram
• Maintain updated inventory of network devices
• Monitor network performance, system availability, and reliability
• Install and configure network hardware such as Wireless AP, Switches, Phones, Routers across site, Labs, Office and Data Center
• Participate in network implementation projects if required

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience working with Cisco and/or Juniper network equipment
• Familiarity with basic switching and routing such as VLAN, VXLAN, STP, VPC, HSRP, NAT, IPSec, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
• Familiarity with IP communication and routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
• Familiarity with LAN / WAN / WIFI/ Structured Cabling and network equipment such as firewalls, switches, routers, wireless controller, load balancer, Infoblox
• Knowledge in network monitoring tools, automation, packet-level analysis of application and network protocols
• Skills in network protocols and technologies
• Familiarity with network security principles
• Experience with networking equipment

Qualifications

• Background or study in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
