Network Engineer

About This Role

Design, implement, and support enterprise networking solutions for a global computing environment, providing expertise and troubleshooting for various networking devices and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate enterprise networking solutions and provide recommendations to senior leadership
• Design, implement, support and perform life cycle management of Brocade switches, Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, Cisco routers, Cisco FirePower firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and Aruba wireless controllers
• Provide Network Engineering expertise and Tier 3+ support for a global enterprise computing environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and acting as a networking subject-matter expert to support, troubleshoot, and implement enterprise IT solutions
• Integrate networking infrastructure with enterprise monitoring, alerting, security auditing and management, log collection and analysis, intrusion detection and prevention, etc.
• Update existing documentation, and create new documentation as needed, including network diagrams, requirements documents, project plans, asset inventory, etc.

Requirements

• US Citizenship required
• Active Secret clearance or greater required
• Ability to obtain a Security+ or CASP or CISSP certification within 90 days
• Design and implementation experience with Brocade switches
• Design and implementation experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches
• Design and implementation experience with Cisco routers
• Design and implementation experience with Cisco FirePower firewalls
• Design and implementation experience with Palo Alto firewalls
• Design and implementation experience with F5 load balancers
• Design and implementation experience with Aruba wireless controllers
• Strong experience providing Network Engineering expertise and Tier 3+ support for a global enterprise computing environment
• Experience researching and evaluating enterprise networking solutions and providing recommendations to senior leadership
• Working knowledge of technologies traversing an enterprise network (e.g. virtualization, VOIP, IT Windows and Linux systems, SAN, applications, etc.)
• Understanding of the system hardening processes, tools, guidelines and benchmark

Nice to Have

• CCNP Enterprise or greater/equivalent certification strongly preferred
