About This Role

The Multi-Care Technician (MCT I) will provide basic patient care and support unit operations under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), performing both clinical and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care, including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, intake/output documentation
• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, eating, and other daily activities
• Report abnormal findings to nursing staff
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms
• Perform clerical duties to support the nursing station
• Conduct 12-lead EKGs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Postsecondary completion of CNA, PCT, CMA or EMT program OR some college coursework in an accredited school of nursing to include completion of “Fundamentals of Nursing”
• Registered, Certified or Licensed in state of practice as CNA, PCT, CMA, or EMT OR current enrollment in accredited school of nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 90 days of hire)
• Ability to lift/move patients and equipment
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer use
• Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
• Experience with infection control and hospital safety standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent AND postsecondary completion of CNA, PCT, CMA or EMT program OR some college coursework in an accredited school of nursing to include completion of “Fundamentals of Nursing”
• One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting (Preferred)

Nice to Have

• One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting
