Mortgage Loan Originator

About This Role

This role involves originating mortgage loans, educating applicants on financing options, and managing the loan pipeline from application to funding. It requires building relationships with customers and clients within the homebuilding industry.

Responsibilities

• Interview mortgage applicants to understand and educate them on financing options
• Advise and review potential loan programs that best suit applicant's needs
• Maintain reports and notes within origination software and CRM systems
• Review new leads daily and contact them to earn business
• Manage daily pipeline from loan application to funding process
• Make presentations on loan products at sales meetings and with Sales staff
• Respond quickly to Operations to facilitate an efficient loan process
• Provide necessary disclosures to loan applicants in a timely manner
• Market the company's products and services accurately and effectively
• Develop sales leads for mortgages in builder communities and real estate offices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training
• Vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by state
• General mortgage banking understanding
• Proficiency with MS Office and email

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training
