About This Role

The MCF Project Engineer at Clow Valve Company enhances the production of world-class waterworks products by implementing technological improvements to equipment and processes within the metal casting facility. This role involves managing projects, maintaining machinery, and identifying new casting technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Research and estimate cost of engineering projects, schedule project resources, and manage contractor agendas
  • Assist maintenance and engineering departments with project implementations and facility infrastructure repairs to ensure timelines and budgets are met
  • Communicate with EHS during project implementation to determine compliance standards and record compliance data
  • Foster partnerships with maintenance and facility managers to implement advances and perform predictive and preventative maintenance
  • Aid the engineering and maintenance department during furnace rebuilds
  • Maintain and test equipment safety systems, program/maintenance robots, and annually test facility/manufacturing equipment
  • Identify and research new casting technologies that offer advancement to equipment longevity/efficiency, green alternatives, molding process efficiencies, and machine safety systems
  • Provide budgeted cost/projected timelines for approval of new technologies/advancements
  • Assist with implementing new technologies/advancements and provide support/training to the production floor

Requirements

  • Project Management and Planning with a proven record of schedules and budgets
  • Understanding of CAD drawing software
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers and HMIs
  • Comprehension of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems & robotic automation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology OR Associate’s degree
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with an Associate's degree
