This Senior Consultant role guides clients through critical M&A moments, focusing on IT integration and divestitures to optimize activities and achieve seamless transitions. The position assists organizations in responding to emerging opportunities, enhancing returns, and accelerating their transformation.
Responsibilities
- Advise, implement, and deliver transformative solutions to clients to optimize their IT activities due to transactions, restructuring, and strategic cost transformation events
- Provide subject matter knowledge across critical IT components (infrastructure, applications, IT operations, IT finances and expenses, Active Directory, end-user computing, messaging, enterprise architecture, testing)
- Perform business process analysis, mapping, and design for M&A projects focused on IT work streams (IT infrastructure separation, data center migration, application integration/separation/rationalization, IT synergies/cost reduction)
- Synthesize overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions and selecting relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements
- Interpret and report on outputs for business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis
- Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, developing work plans for components of engagements, coordinating activities between workstreams, and identifying changes in scope
- Design deliverable content to precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needs, working alongside Managers
- Improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results
Requirements
- 4+ years of M&A IT Integration & Divestiture or M&A IT Divestiture Service Delivery Experience
- 4+ years of experience specializing in one area of Information Technology
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years consulting and/or industry experience OR MBA with 2+ years relevant work experience
- Ability to travel up to 50%
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or MBA with relevant experience
- 4+ years of M&A IT and Divestiture or M&A IT Integration and Divestiture Service Delivery Experience, with 4+ years specializing in one area of Information Technology
Nice to Have
- Recent experience working in a professional services consulting firm
- Knowledge of Cloud Migration/Standup
- Ability to work independently; lead small teams focused on specific work streams
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
- Ability to apply practical experience with communications, culture, and change management
- Ability to perform analysis and synthesize data into useful insights
- Eagerness to mentor junior staff
- An advanced degree
