The Mergers and Acquisitions IT Integration & Divestitures Senior Consultant guides clients through critical moments and transformational initiatives by providing end-to-end support for M&A IT transactions. This role focuses on optimizing IT activities, achieving seamless transitions, and maximizing value for clients before, during, and after major transformational projects or transactions.
Responsibilities
- Advise, implement, and deliver transformative solutions to clients to optimize their IT activities due to transactions, restructurings, and strategic cost transformation events.
- Provide subject matter knowledge across critical components of IT (e.g., infrastructure, applications, IT operations, IT finances and expenses, Active Directory, end-user computing, messaging, enterprise architecture, testing).
- Perform business process analysis, mapping, and design for M&A projects focused on an IT work stream.
- Assist in synthesizing overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions and selecting relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements.
- Interpret and report on outputs, participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, developing work plans for components of engagements, coordinating activities between workstreams, and identifying changes in scope.
- Design deliverable content to precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needs, working alongside Managers.
- Improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results, serving as trusted advisors to corporate and private equity clients.
Requirements
- 4+ years of M&A IT and Divestiture or M&A IT Integration and Divestiture Service Delivery Experience
- 4+ years of experience specializing in one area of Information Technology
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years consulting and/or industry experience OR MBA with 2+ years relevant work experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or MBA
- 4+ years of M&A IT and Divestiture or M&A IT Integration and Divestiture Service Delivery Experience and 4+ years of experience specializing in one area of Information Technology. Alternatively, an MBA with 2+ years relevant work experience.

- Recent experience working in a professional services consulting firm
- Knowledge of Cloud Migration/Standup
- Ability to work independently and lead small teams
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to apply practical experience with communications, culture, and change management
- Ability to perform analysis and synthesize data into useful insights
- Eagerness to mentor junior staff
- An advanced degree
