As a Senior Consultant in Mergers & Acquisitions Human Capital, you will guide clients through critical moments and transformational initiatives by specializing in M&A within the larger Strategy & Transactions practice. You will advise clients in corporate and private equity spaces, leading workstreams and managing client relationships with a focus on Organization Transformation and HR Strategy & Excellence.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of change management strategies related to M&A, empowering leaders and enabling managers to support employees through organizational change and holistic programs.
- Understand and assess legacy cultures, define future-state cultures, and develop plans for cultivation.
- Lead the integration of HR Functions including HR Systems, Service Delivery, Total Rewards, Payroll, Leadership Development, and Talent Strategies.
- Imagine and transform the composition and capabilities of the workforce to match future needs, delivering end-to-end transformations of workforce programs.
- Assist in the development of organizational design to enable future-state strategy, including supporting the design of operating models and structures, and facilitating workforce transitions.
- Build reputation within the firm and market for strong HR Strategy/Capability knowledge.
- Forge strong relationships with clients and project teams to contribute to growth and development.
Requirements
- Experience supporting and/or delivering at least 2 Human Capital M&A projects (restructuring, cost reduction, due diligence, integration planning/execution).
- 4+ years of relevant consulting/industry experience including change management, communications, organizational design, HR strategy/operations, and/or talent solutions.
- 4+ years experience developing and delivering HR transaction strategy.
- 4+ years experience working in HR functions & processes, including HR Strategy, Employee Experience, Operating Models, M&A, Outsourcing Advisory, and/or Technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or MBA
- 4+ years of relevant experience in a consulting and/or industry role with a focus on Human Capital M&A projects, HR transaction strategy, and HR functions & processes.
Nice to Have
- MBA, or graduate degree in HR or Organizational Behavior.
- Actuarial exams or designation, other HR credentials (CCP, GRP, CEMS, CMS, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience with Human Capital Mergers and Acquisitions, restructuring and/or enterprise cost reduction.
- Experience performing Human Capital due diligence and post-deal integration/separation activities.
- Experience supporting workshops, large meetings, or presentations to senior leaders.
- Ability to execute a project plan, managing deadlines and paying acute attention to detail.
- Demonstrated strong business acumen and ability to work effectively across teams, levels, and varying cultures.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint), data analysis (MS Excel, Tableau, or SQL), and report writing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
