About This Role

Provide intensive and strength-based therapeutic mental health services to children, youth and families, primarily in their own homes and community. Assess safety, develop treatment plans, and facilitate crisis responses to strengthen family unity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive and strength based therapeutic mental health services and supports to children, youth and families in the community
  • Assess for immediate safety and stabilization needs
  • Develop treatment plans and safety/crisis plans
  • Facilitate child and family team meetings
  • Conduct on-going assessment and evaluation of current treatment planning strategies, goals, and outcomes
  • Meet and engage families with compassion, support, respect, and enthusiasm
  • Provide and/or arrange necessary crisis response and stabilization services
  • Consult with clinical supervisor, mental health specialists and others as needed
  • Meet productivity and documentation standards using collaborative problem-solving strategies
  • Provide and/or facilitate the provision of a range of therapeutic responses

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, behavioral sciences or equivalent
  • 21 years or older
  • Ability to drive to family homes and within the community
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance with an acceptable driving record
  • Successfully pass required background checks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, behavioral sciences or equivalent
  • Experience serving children and/or families (e.g. mental health, social services, education), preferred

  • Experience serving children and/or families (e.g. mental health, social services, education)
  • Preference for a flexible schedule rather than a traditional, fixed, 8-5, Monday through Friday, facility-based position
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation responsibilities
