About This Role

The Medical Assistant II works under supervision to provide patient care and performs duties to assist in healthcare services. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient clinical operations and patient well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties as directed by a licensed practitioner to assist in providing patient care
  • Perform all aspects of the MA I role
  • Be fully competent in the clinical needs and functions for the assigned clinic/location of work
  • Perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training for medical assistants OR Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program OR Two years of medical training in the US Armed Forces OR Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification (upon hire)
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (within 30 days of hire)
  • 6 months healthcare experience
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
  • Entry level with 6 months healthcare and Medical Assistant experience

Nice to Have

  • National Medical Assistant Certification (upon hire)
