About This Role

The Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform patient care duties. This role involves all aspects of the MA I role and requires full competency in clinical needs and functions within the assigned clinic or location.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties as directed by a licensed practitioner to assist in providing patient care
  • Perform all aspects of the MA I role
  • Be fully competent in the clinical needs and functions for assigned clinic/location of work
  • Perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants OR Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program OR Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces OR Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification (upon hire)
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (upon hire)
  • 6 months of Healthcare experience
  • 6 months of Medical Assistant experience

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training for medical assistants, or graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
  • 6 months of Healthcare experience, 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
