About This Role

Provide direct clinical physical therapy services within Swedish Pain Services, working with patients in an outpatient Functional Restoration Center and a hospital-based Pain Management Suite. Contribute to an interdisciplinary team approach to comprehensive pain management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical services as a Physical Therapist (PT) within Swedish Pain Services
  • Work in the outpatient Functional Restoration Center
  • Work in the hospital-based Pain Management Suite
  • Integrate bio psychosocial model of chronic pain into treatment
  • Apply concepts of Pain Neuroscience Education into treatment plans
  • Coordinate and prioritize multiple demands and projects
  • Develop cooperative relationships with families, patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program of physical therapy
  • Washington Physical Therapist License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • Strong understanding of bio psychosocial model of chronic pain
  • Ability to learn and/or integrate the latest concepts of Pain Neuroscience Education into treatment plans
  • Strong orthopedic background
  • Highly developed interpersonal and counseling skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple demands and projects
  • Ability to work with a diverse patient and staff population
  • Ability to work effectively with groups

Qualifications

  • A graduate of an accredited program of physical therapy

Nice to Have

  • Women’s health continuing education or certification experience
  • Pain Neuroscience continuing education or certification as therapeutic pain specialist
  • Graduation from accredited DPT program
  • Experience in ortho, neuro, cancer, cardiac or other designated specialty populations
  • Experience treating chronic pain
