Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

About This Role

Support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, while also mentoring junior technicians to foster their growth.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays
• Maintain a positive working relationship across the Amazon Operations facility
• Perform physical tasks including moving up to 49lbs, standing, walking, climbing ladders and gangways, bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching

Requirements

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program OR 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience
• 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience
• 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience or Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program certification, along with 2+ years of experience in predictive/preventative maintenance, reading blueprints/schematics, safety standards, and troubleshooting MHE.

Nice to Have

• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
• 2+ years of electrical and electronic principles experience
• Associate's degree in Mechnical or Electrical
• 2+ years of Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship experience
