About This Role

Support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, while mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays
• Maintain a positive working relationship across the Amazon Operations facility
• Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching

Requirements

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program OR 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience
• 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience
• 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience, OR certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program; 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience; 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience; 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience; 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience.

Nice to Have

• Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
• 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
• 2+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
